Embark on an exhilarating exploration of 3D modeling with our course designed for children aged 10 and above – "3D Modelling in Blender3D. Level 1." Spanning 10 lessons, this program introduces the very basics of 3D design using Blender3D.


Begin with Step 1: Introduction to 3D Modeling and Blender3D. Navigate the Blender3D interface, create and manipulate basic shapes, and understand 3D primitives. Learn the intricacies of object transformation, applying these skills to craft simple 3D shapes and bring a basic character to life.


Transition to Step 2: Introduction into Blender3D’s Modifiers. Uncover the transformative abilities of modifiers, including Boolean, Mirror, and Bevel modifiers. Practice applying these modifiers to create intricate designs through extrusion and beveling, gaining hands-on experience with modifier chains.


In Step 3: 3D Modelling of the Robotic Character, set the stage for 3D printing and precision modeling. Dive into the creation of robotic components, utilizing modifiers to refine the design. Culminate this step by preparing a robotic character for 3D printing.


This course promises a dynamic and interactive learning experience, nurturing creativity and laying the groundwork for a captivating journey into the realm of 3D modeling.




This course has 10 lessons. Classes run from 13.10 to 14.10 every Saturday 

This course is ready for 10+ years old. Girls and boys are very welcome!

Syllabus of the course.


Step 1. Introduction to 3D Modeling and Blender3D

  • Topics:

    • Navigating the Blender3D interface.

    • Basic shape creation and manipulation.

    • Understanding 3D primitives (cubes, spheres, cylinders, etc.).

    • Learning about object transformation (translation, rotation, scaling).

    • Applying transformations to 3D objects.

    • Understanding the importance of the 3D cursor.

  • Exercise/Project:

    • Creating simple 3D shapes.

    • Combining and modifying primitive shapes.

    • Transforming and arranging objects in a scene.

    • Make a basic character


Step 2. Introduction to Blender3D’s modifiers.

  • Topics:

    • The Boolean modifier.

    • How to use and apply modifiers to the 3D object.

    • The Mirror modifier.

    • How to operate with the modifiers’ chain.

    • The Bevel modifier.

  • Exercise/Project:

    • Practice with modifiers.

    • Extruding and beveling to create intricate designs.


Step 3. 3D modelling of the Robotic character.

  • Topics:

    • Set the 3D environment ready for 3D printing and precise modelling

    • Modeling robot components.

  • Exercise/Project:

    • Make a robotic character ready for 3D printing


There are some requirements exist for the course:


1. You must be confident in using a computer, keyboard and mouse. At the good user level.

2. Know how we save files on a computer, what a file and folders are, etc.

3. Be able to switch between windows in the operating system. Use the keys’ shortcuts.

4. No previous experience with 3D modeling is required

5. The course is designed for pupils from 10 years old.
