This engaging and hands-on course is designed for children aged 8 and above who are ready to deepen their understanding of robotics and coding through practical projects using the Robium Car—a custom-designed robot based on the powerful ESP32 microcontroller. With features like three ultrasonic sensors, a fully controllable RGB LED ring, Bluetooth and WiFi, the Robium Car offers exciting opportunities for creative exploration and technical learning.

The course uses Robium Code, a block-based programming environment with a more professional structure, providing a smooth transition toward text-based programming in the future.

Over a series of lessons, students will:

  • Assemble the Robium Car and learn about power distribution and motor control.
  • Develop and refine maze-solving algorithms using the three ultrasonic sensors.
  • Explore target-following logic and precision navigation based on real-time sensor input.
  • Program complex RGB LED ring animations, learn about color mixing, and use lights as a feedback mechanism or creative expression tool.
  • Build a remote-controlled robot, learning how to set up wireless communication, interpret commands from a web interface, and program responsive behaviors such as directional movement and speed control.
  • Along the way, students will strengthen key skills in problem-solving, event-driven programming, sensor integration, and networked communication—all while developing their creativity and technical confidence.

Each student’s learning path is personalized depending on their interests and goals, which are discussed individually during course enrollment. This ensures a motivating and tailored experience for every participant.

By the end of the course, children will not only have built and programmed a fully functional robotic system but will also be well-prepared for future challenges in robotics and coding.

This course has 10 lessons. Classes run from 10.40 to 11.40 every Saturday

This course is ready for 8+ years old. Girls and boys are very welcome!

Each student’s learning path is personalized depending on their interests and goals, which are discussed at the time of course enrollment.

By the end of the course, children will not only have built and programmed a fully functional robotic system but will also be well-prepared for future challenges in robotics and coding.

Although this course is Level 1, in order to concentrate on Robotics and Electronics topics, the course has some requirements:

1. You must be confident in using a computer, keyboard and mouse. At the good user level.

2. Know how we save files on a computer, what a file and folders are, etc.

3. You want to program robots and are not afraid to struggle with the difficulties of learning them.

4. Previous experience with programming is required. It could be block-based coding or text-based coding. Ideally, you are able to make applications or games in Scratch.

5. The course is designed for pupils from 8 years old.
