"Robotics with Robium Car. Block-based coding. Level 1" is an engaging and hands-on course designed for children aged 8 and above, aiming to deepen their understanding of robotics and coding concepts. This 10-lesson program provides a comprehensive exploration of robotics principles.

Here participants advance their skills by using the Robium Car. Based on ESP32, it has 3 ultrasonic distance sensors, a fully controllable RGB ring, Bluetooth and WiFi. We design this device specifically to make your learning path smooth and exciting. At this course, pupils will assemble the car, learn about general concepts of how to work with power motors and use Ultrasonic Sensors to solve the maze.

Throughout the course, children are encouraged to explore their creativity, problem-solving abilities, and teamwork, fostering a dynamic learning environment that makes robotics and coding enjoyable and accessible.

When you get this course, you can buy the Robium Car!

This course is ready for 8-year-old pupils and older. Girls and boys are very welcome!

This course has 10 lessons. Classes run from 10.40 to 11.40 every Saturday

Step 1. Basics of the Robotics and Electronics development. The motor control

  • Topics:
    • Quick start with Robium Code development for robotics and electronics.
    • Learn the Robium Code environment, blocks and operation logic.
    • Learn how to make your program, deploy it, run and test it.
    • Learn how to control the motors of the Robium Car.
  • Exercise/Project:
    • Discover how to the Robium Car is built. Identify if it needs any fix and make it.
    • Perform 3 types of turns on the Robium Car.

Step 2. The precise motor control

  • Topics:
    • Control the speed and smoothness of the Robium Car vehicle.
    • Learn how to make a program that includes parameter and discrete input data.
  • Exercise/Project:
    • Make a program that drives the Robotic vehicle with speed control.
    • Use counters to control the car's speed.

Step 3. Work with 3 UltraSonic sensors

  • Topics:
    • Learn about the problem of distance estimation in the Robotic field.
    • Learn about UltraSonic sensor basics. And practice with it in Robium Code.
  • Exercise/Project:
    • Make a parking program.
    • Make a program to solve the maze

Step 4*. Additional tasks will require the operation with the build-in LED RGB ring

This course is Level 1, but there are still some requirements:

1. You must be confident in using a computer, keyboard and mouse. At the good user level.

2. Know how we save files on a computer, what a file and folders are, etc.

3. You want to program robots and are not afraid to struggle with the difficulties of learning it.

4. Previous experience with robotics vehicle is good to have. The experience could be with varius cars or robotics kits, that could use the block-based coding or text-based coding. Ideally, if you done our course: Robotics. Block-based coding. Level 1 and 2.
