"Robotics with Robium Car: Level 1 - AI-Powered Coding" is an immersive, hands-on course designed for students aged 11 and up, providing a dynamic introduction to robotics and coding through the innovative use of AI. In this 10-lesson program, students will build skills in robotics by working with the Robium Car, a custom-designed robot based on the ESP32 board. Equipped with three ultrasonic distance sensors, a fully controllable RGB LED ring, Bluetooth, and WiFi, the Robium Car serves as an engaging platform for hands-on learning.

A unique feature of this course is the AI support: students will use our school’s custom-developed interface to interact seamlessly with ChatGPT, which will help them generate Arduino code to control the Robium Car. Through our easy-to-use tool, students can communicate with the AI to write and refine code, empowering them to accomplish tasks like making turns, measuring distances, and navigating mazes. This approach introduces students to text-based coding, providing an exciting transition from block-based coding while fostering a greater understanding of programming logic.

Throughout the course, students will develop problem-solving skills, creativity, and collaboration, as they work together to tackle robotics challenges. By the end of the course, each student will have fully assembled, programmed, and customized their own Robium Car, gaining practical coding experience and exploring how AI can simplify complex coding tasks.

This course has 10 lessons. Classes run from 15.30 to 16.30 every Saturday
This course is ready for 10+ years old. Girls and boys are very welcome!

  • Assemble the Robium Car and learn about its core components and sensors
  • Understand fundamental robotics principles and motor control techniques
  • Use our school’s custom AI interface to interact with ChatGPT for Arduino coding
  • Develop code to control motors, interpret ultrasonic sensor data, and solve navigation tasks
  • Gain experience with distance tracking, motor commands, and LED programming
  • Enhance problem-solving, critical thinking, and teamwork skills in a robotics context

There are some requirements exist for the course:

1. You must be confident in using a computer, keyboard and mouse. At the good user level.
2. Know how we save files on a computer, what a file and folders are, etc.
3. You want to program robots and are not afraid to struggle with the difficulties of learning it.
4. Some previous experience with Arduino C programming (or other text-based programming languages for hardware deployment) is required. Ideally, you have done our course: ‘Robotics. Arduino C programming. Level 1’
