This workshop has 1 lesson (2 hours), from 14.30 to 16.30 on 7 Dec'25

This workshop is ready for: 11+ years old.

Girls and boys are very welcome!

Learning Outcomes:

  • Understanding Sensors and Their Applications: Learn how the Time-of-Flight sensor works for precise object detection and distance measurement.
  • Programming Skills: Develop coding skills using Arduino C.
  • Embedded Systems Knowledge: Gain hands-on experience with the LoLin board and ESP8266 microchip, understanding its role in robotics.
  • Hardware-Software Integration: Explore how hardware components like sensors and RGB lights interact with software to create functional robotics.
  • Creative Problem-Solving: Apply creativity to customize the RGB lights and program the robotic car for specific tasks.
  • Project Assembly Skills: Build and troubleshoot a robotics car, fostering critical thinking and perseverance.
  • Ownership of Learning: Take home a functional robotics project to continue learning and experimenting beyond the workshop.

There are some requirements exist for the workshop:

1. You must be confident in using a computer, keyboard and mouse. At the good user level.

2. Know how we save files on a computer, what a file and folders are, etc.

3. You want to program robots and are not afraid to struggle with the difficulties of learning it.

4. Some previous experience with Arduino C programming (or other text-based programming languages for hardware deployment) is required.
