Here we offer a Trial Class - a chance to see whether your child will enjoy our lessons. We understand that it can be difficult to know in advance if a course will match your child’s interests and expectations, and we are happy to make that first step easier. That is why we offer a one-hour Robotics Trial Class with ESP32 programming. Your child can try either Arduino C or block-based coding in RobiumCode. If it is still difficult to decide which option is the better fit, we can help choose the most suitable one during the lesson itself.
During the class, your child will complete simple coding tasks, learn how to use Serial communication, control the built-in LED, and create different blinking patterns while practising basic algorithmic thinking. This trial session also gives your child an introduction to the wider range of topics we cover in our courses.
This offer works once per term per pupil.

This course is ready for 10+ years old.

During the trial, pupils will learn:
- Health and safety when working on a basic electronics project
- The basic development workflow: how to connect the ESP32 board and upload a program
- How to choose between Arduino C and block-based coding in RobiumCode
- How to use Serial communication for simple input and output tasks
- How to control the built-in LED on the ESP32
- How to create different LED blinking patterns by completing simple coding tasks
- How to practise basic algorithmic thinking through short programming exercises
In order to concentrate on Robotics and Electronics topics, the course has some requirements:
1. You must be confident in using a computer, keyboard and mouse. At the good user level.
2. Know how we save files on a computer, what a file and folders are, etc.
3. You want to program robots and are not afraid to struggle with the difficulties of learning them.
4. Previous experience with programming is required. It could be block-based coding or text-based coding. Ideally, you are able to make applications or games in Scratch.
5. The course is designed for pupils from 8 years old.
